Admiral Digby Museum

Come and take a walk through history at the Admiral Digby Museum. The museum, named in honour of Rear Admiral Robert Digby, is one of the oldest structures in the Town of Digby. Originally constructed as a family home in the mid-19th century, the museum now houses a fascinating collection of archives and artifacts relating to the town’s history. Lavishly decorated rooms also allow guests to see what a typical home would have looked like over 150 years ago. Highlights of the museum’s collection include an 1870s organ, 1909 Edison Phonograph, an 1890s hand-crafted grandfather clock, and watercolour sketches of Sable Island done by Dr. J. B. Gilpin in 1854.
