Inside the Life of a Lobster

Learn about the mysterious life of the lobster in all of its ages and stages. Biologists at the Eco-centre will answer all your questions and give you an explanation of the lobster’s life cycle, from baby larvae to full blown crustacean. Reach into the touch tank, where you can see and feel the lobsters – big, small, even blue along with other marine life from the ecosystem. Adopt a baby lobster from the larvae bobbing around in the micro-hatchery. Don’t get too attached because your adopted lobster will be released in the sea in the near future to help sustain lobster in the region. Uncover important facts about the Shediac Bay ecosystem and understand how a micro-hatchery works.
