Recreate the trips of the region’s courageous first settlers as you head out from Kouchibouguac National Park in a re-creation of a voyageur canoe. Historical fact and folklore permeate your trip as you and your four- to eight-man team paddle along. As the interpreter talks about the history of the area and the Mi’kmaq way of life, you see Grey seals and a blanket of black and white Common terns. Artefacts and props bring the pioneering days of New Brunswick to life while stories and photos show how the park’s environment is continually shaped. You’ll also enjoy a healthy snack while observing seals on a sandbar.
