Built as a response to the energy crisis of the '70s, the plant houses a turbine designed to work in the demanding environment of the upper reaches of the Bay of Fundy. 

A Heritage Interpreter on site will guide you through the development of tidal power in the Bay and around the world. Conditions permitting, a tour of the plant may be offered to persons over age 16 with appropriate footwear.
