Located on the north branch of the Lahave River in the South Shore region, LaHave River Campground offers a fun-filled camping adventure for the whole family. Take a dip in the waters of the LaHave River, enjoy the beautiful scenery while hiking on the trail, and gather at The Shelter for a camp sing-along.
There is plenty to see and do in this beautiful region. Nearby, enjoy Indian Falls Park where a five-minute walk will take you along the rapids of the river to the top of the spectacular waterfall. You may also wish to visit the Parkdale-Maplewood Community Museum, or taste some local wine at the Lunenburg County Winery. Take a day trip and visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Town Lunenburg, picturesque Mahone Bay, and the scenic fishing village of Peggy's Cove, all within a one-hour drive.
Our open and wooded campground features 53 overnight sites with electrical and water hook-ups, as well as 40 seasonal sites. We also have 7 slumber huts with electrical and water hook-up, deck and fire pit, and a rental trailer. Guest amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, a disposal station, fire pits, wood, laundry, shelter, and a camp store. Outdoor activities include mini-golf, outdoor bowling, a playground, horseshoes, river swimming, and a slip-&-slide.
Pets are welcome, and we have a dog run.
