Mary Crowley Monument

Erected in 1870 in St. Thomas More Catholic cemetery in Pugwash, this is the first public monument built for a Canadian-born female. The monument is in honour of Mary Crowley, age 12, who perished after rescuing her brother and sister from a house fire.
