Shubenacadie Tidal Bore Rafting Resort

At Rafters Ridge Cottages at the Tidal Bore Rafting Resort, visitors can relax and absorb all the splendor, solitude and excitement the Bay of Fundy and Annapolis Valley region has to offer. On our 180-acre natural setting alongside the Shubenacadie river bank, you may raft the exciting tidal bore on our two- or four-hour rafting trips or you may put your feet up and relax on one of the outdoor decks and view the tidal bore with a beverage by your side.

Join us for a carefree vacation in Central Nova Scotia. Our spacious cottages are a home away from home and our location is ideal for those who wish to explore the region during half-day or day trips. Open year-round, our cozy cottages are a brief 30-minute drive from the Halifax Airport and the beautiful town of Truro.

Our accommodations include air-conditioned and heated 1- and 2-bedroom cedar and pine housekeeping cottages with double and queen beds and 4-piece baths. We also have three 1 bedroom chalets and a spacious 5-bedroom log chalet for large groups. HDTV, propane fireplace, deck, barbecues, and cots are available.

Guests can indulge their adventurous spirit on several miles of hiking and skiing trails or enjoy the outdoor above-ground swimming pool. Or they can relax and sit around the fire pits and view the soaring eagles.

The Sandbar is our licensed restaurant, offering a perfect viewing of the tidal bore on one of Nova Scotia’s largest covered outdoor decks. The Sandbar offers seasonal Rafters' Specials, home-cooked meals featuring locally-sourced products, and we have meeting/event space available, with catering, for groups or weddings.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discovery, and Direct Debit.
