Summerville Beach Provincial Park, located off Route 3 at Summerville Centre, is one of the finest sandy beaches on the South Shore. The 1-km (0.5-mi) light-sand beach is backed by sand dunes (nesting area for Piping Plover; please keep to designated paths) and an open salt marsh. Picnic tables are out in the open but each has a roof to provide shade.
