The Telegraph House, built in 1861, once contained the office of the first Trans-Oceanic Cable Company from where some of the first telegraph messages in North America were sent. Located in Baddeck, Cape Breton, this charming Victorian house, complete with modern motel units and cabins, is nestled among the trees and is just a short distance off the legendary Cabot Trail.Baddeck offers a variety of restaurants and cafés, unique shops, a boardwalk, a yacht club, tennis court, and sailing tours of the Bras d'Or lakes. We are conveniently located close to area attractions, such as the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and Bell Bay Golf Course.Our accommodations include 39 units; 17 motel rooms, 17 inn rooms, four cabins, and one 2-bedroom cottage.
