The museum houses a collection of artifacts from companies owned by the late W. Laurence Sweeney. These objects provide a glimpse into the history of Yarmouth's fishing industry. The museum also contains five reproduced buildings, an 18.5-m (60-ft) trawler and a 30-m (100-ft) wharf, which enable visitors to experience a working waterfront.
