Whidden Park Campground offers everything vacationers need to have an enjoyable stay in beautiful downtown Antigonish located in the Northumberland Shore region of Nova Scotia. We are just a short stroll to the downtown core where you will find restaurants, shops, churches and ceilidhs. Our open and shaded campsites are nestled on 15 acres of parkland and offer a fun-filled maritime vacation for the whole family!   For those looking for the camping experience but without all the work, we offer two on-site RVs which are available for rent by the week. These 30' travel trailers feature two sleeping areas (a bunk bed and queen), kitchen, and satellite TV. The kitchen is equipped but guests must supply their own bedding.   For those looking for an even more convenient option, Whidden Park Cottages are 2-bedroom minihomes with all the comforts of home. Each unit features a fully equipped kitchen, living room with cable TV, 4 piece bath, housekeeping and wireless internet. Cottages are available by the night, week, and month.   Antigonish is situated halfway between Halifax and Sydney and hosts the longest running Scottish Highland Games held outside of Scotland and is located on the Sunrise Trail which runs the entire length of Nova Scotia's north shore, providing both a wonderful tourism destination and a scenic route from New Brunswick to Cape Breton Island.   Take a vacation and explore our beautiful coast, swim at our sandy beaches and enjoy our hospitality. Visit a vineyard, our historic sites or one of the many artists’ studios along the route. There are trails to walk, birds to watch and the ocean is never far away. Come and discover our diverse history on your vacation this year - you can be sure of a warm welcome!   Accommodations include 89 overnight sites (Electrical hookup, Water hookup, Sewage hookup, Unserviced), plus 65 seasonal sites. We also have two camper trailers which are set up on-site and available for weekly rentals (Saturday to Saturday). These units are partially equipped; towels, bedding, and linens are not supplied. We provide open and shaded sites on a 15-acre property along the Brierly Brook.   Guest amenities include flush toilets, pay showers, modern and heated washrooms, disposal station, laundromat facilities, pay phones, wireless Internet, fireplaces, wood, and ice. 5 Mini-home style cottages are also available for nightly, weekly, and monthly rental.   Recreational facilities include a heated pool, playground, recreational hall and outside games. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Security is provided. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Direct Debit are accepted.   Cancellation Policy: Must cancel 5 days prior to arrival for camping, 7 days for on-site RVs, and 48 hours for cottages.
